Opening this Youth Day, Rush Extreme Sports Park in Claremont is proud to partner with Restoring Hope and local athlete Tyler Drake from Drakes Academy to create a meaningful experience for youth from the Victoria Lodge community in Cape Town.
The event is all about giving back, inspiring growth, and creating space for movement, mentorship, and motivation – on and off the trampolines.
In the spirit of community upliftment, a group of young people from Victoria Lodge – where our sister company Playstation by Rush runs a weekly feeding scheme – will be hosted at Rush, Cape Town’s leading indoor adventure park, for a unique morning of learning, leaping, and fun.
The day kicks off with a relaxed mentorship session led by Restoring Hope, who work closely with the Victoria Lodge community and have been instrumental in creating positive opportunities for local youth. Tyler Drake, a Cape Town-based athlete and founder of Drakes Academy, will join the session to share his personal journey. He’ll speak about how sport, movement, and especially parkour helped him overcome both physical and mental barriers – and how staying active can be a powerful outlet for growth, confidence and self-belief.
This will be followed by a hands-on parkour introduction session, where Tyler will guide the kids through the basics, encouraging them to move with confidence and curiosity. Once the workshop wraps, the group will have the chance to explore everything that Rush has to offer – from wall-to-wall trampolines to the foam pit, dodgeball arena, and more.
