The Tiny Owls Organization

Tiny Owls Baby Home is a non-profit child welfare organization in Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa, founded in September 2018 by Kim and Wayne Allen. As parents of four biological and three adopted children, the couple started in their home before building a dedicated nursery to care for as many babies as possible. Registered NPC (2017/540930/08) with PBO status, they provide temporary safety care for abandoned and relinquished infants awaiting adoption, embodying there slogan “Every child is one caring adult away from being a success story.”
Tiny Owls receives newborns via social workers, police, hospitals, or crisis centers amid poverty, abuse, or relinquishment. Babies stay about six months, receiving 24/7 care from five rigorously trained carers on rotating shifts. On-site physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pediatric specialists address trauma, ailments, and milestones. This holistic support ensures vulnerable infants thrive before joining forever families.
